This is the 1.7 MB pdf for the Delta Regional Highway Plan I focus on Illinois But the Whole plan is here.
Illinois
There is a Phase 1 I-66 Study
US 45 is being 4 laned in the 5 year plan for about 4 miles
There is Money for Land Aquisition for IL 127 near Pickneyville
This one is on IDOTs project website
Also there is a Study for a US 50 between Indiana and Olney Mentioned in the plan but I have to links for it
On Page 33 of 48 in the report there's a section on a new I-40/I-55/I-69 connector crossing the Mississippi between Arkansas and Mississippi. I wonder if it will eventually evolve into an extension of I-269 or I-22?
The widening of IL 146 (Page 38/48) between the Bill Emerson Bridge and IL 3 was already underway as of last fall.
Interesting that there's the possibility of widening US 45 towards either towards IN 62 or I-64 (Page 38/48)

I'd have to think that's part of the 269 beltway, likely extending off MS 304.
That's possible, given the mention of the new location being outside the New Madrid seismic zone.
But the PDF also states TDOT is involved in the feasibility study, which suggests to me that the new bridge being studied is the one that would connect from the western I-40/I-55 interchange in West Memphis over to TN 300. Such a bridge location was part of a toll feasibility study TDOT did 4 years ago, which also studied the oft-mentioned I-55 Presidents Island bridge.
is interstate 66 going to sikeston or cape girardeau?
It's going to whichever place causes you to stop necroing old threads.

I was just wandering. Good grief.
Actually, if it is built, it will probably go straight from Kentucky to Missouri and bypass Illinois, giving KY and MO a needed direct Mississippi River crossing.
