Thotsamarachan Bridge in Bangkok opened to traffic today. They call it the widest bridge across the Chao Phraya River, it is eight lanes wide.
It's the first stage of the Rama Expressway, which is being constructed mostly on top of the Nakhon Expressway.
The bridge is built next to the Rama IX Bridge, and was previously called the 'Second Rama IX Bridge'. Thotsamarachan Bridge means '10th King Bridge', named after Vajiralongkorn, the 10th king of Thailand.
