Starting a new thread since I don't believe one exists for the Clear Path Northeast project (https://clearpath465.com/).
The first new ramp is scheduled to open next week from I 69 South to I 465 West. There will also be traffic shifts onto new pavement near Allisonville Road. See the following newsletter link for details.

The Clear Path name for the project reminds me of the "clear path" foul in basketball. It looks like there still won't be access from Interstate 69 North/Interstate 465 West to Binford Blvd. South, and the two existing cloverleafs will also remain. I guess there isn't enough right-of-way to replace the cloverleafs with another ramp configuration.

There will be a new direct-connect ramp from eastbound I-465 to northbound I-69 replacing most of the traffic on that one cloverleaf. The only traffic left on that cloverleaf will be local traffic from I 465 to 82nd Street. The other cloverleaf will handle local traffic from Bimford to I 465 West. No interstate to interstate traffic will be on a cloverleaf after the project completion.

this new interchange will help with traffic so much. can't wait for it to be done.
I know for a fact that the redone I-465/I-69 interchange will be much better than the older version. Perhaps this is in conjunction with the southern interchange that's now under construction?
OT: The eastern junction with I-74 needs a similar revamp, because I hate that the through movements are one lane each, and also that the left exits exist for Southeastern Blvd. Hopefully, that interchange will also get worked on in the near future.

That won't happen for a long time. There are many needs for improvement around the Indianapolis highway system but rebuilding the I-74 interchange isn't that high ranking. Having a second lane for the westbound I-74 ramp to I-465 south wouldn't be a bad idea but I've never noticed traffic there being too bad accessing that ramp. Not the best, but nowhere near the volume of traffic heading from eastbound I-465 onto northbound I-69 in the Clear Path project.

They need to add capacity to the US31 interchange on the north side before they do this. It's so frustrating how they under-designed this interchange. It backs up all the time.

This has more to do with capacity constraints on I 465 either side of the interchange than with the interchange itself. The traffic has nowhere to go during busy hours.
Based on the traffic camera view it looks like the ramp from Allisonville to 465 West has fully reopened in the new configuration overnight as scheduled.

It really wasn't under-designed for the traffic patterns that existed when it was built. The problem is, traffic got a lot heavier, and did so much faster, than the projections that they were using.

I dislike the entrances to I-74 EB at that interchange more than the exits. The two "through" lanes are both coming from Southeastern Ave, while the lanes coming from both directions of I-465 have to merge into them.
I drove through the new ramp today - it opened overnight from I 69 South to I 465 West. Ramp entrance is still on the left of I 465 South ramp, then crosses over that ramp on a new bridge to the new pavement near Allisonville. The Allisonville exit ramp was open to traffic from I 69 only -- I 465 traffic was still on the old pavement as of today and therefore had no access to Allisonville Road. Likely that will get switched over to the new concrete tonight.

Oh hey look, the reason my username is the way that it is. The diagram of that interchange on the sign when you are on 74 West approaching 465 makes it look like the left lane gets you on 465. But it does not. It's an exit only onto Southeastern. Very stupid to have the majority of traffic fight and jostle for positioning into the right lane, only for a ramp lane to appear later.
The I-865 exit lane configuration from I-465 needs to be fixed too. Restrip the middle lane/wide shoulder on the WB exit as an option lane for I-865. I don't think the I-465 NB to I-865 NB movements needs its own lane when combining with I-865, considering most through traffic that would've used that movement exited at I-65 several exits ago, so that could be turned into a merge.

That entire interchange is being redone soon it's part of a big redesign of 465 from 86th to US 31. INDOT announced it a few months ago.

Don't forget that one exit
The ramp exit from I-74 WB to I-465/74 is freaking hilarious. It has a fairly steep grade on the exit. The google street cam doesn't quite show it right, but in icy weather coming down that is pretty fun.
Looks like INDOT is activating new pavement tonight for the I 465 to I 69 Northbound movement.

I'm assuming they're referring to the moving of NB traffic to the new C/D lanes between !-465 and 82nd St. On a related note I think within the next 2-3 weeks we'll see southbound traffic to I-465 south utilizing the southbound C/D lanes and the mainline reconstruction will begin to take off. They have some more concrete to lay on what will be the left hand lane of the I-69 --> Binford Ramp, but it's been taking shape quickly this past week.
I also think there will be major shifts on 465 NB/WB once the bridge over Binford is complete. My estimate is about 1 month out, as plenty of concrete has been laid north of 71st street on the interior NB lanes. Usually the 71st street camera points south offering a wide view of the work zone. Occasionally the camera on 465 at 69 points north to show the bridge, but this is maybe 5-10% of the times I look, so I'm not too certain about the bridge progress as of right now.

Can confirm this. All the way to the right for NB I-69 traffic, also not mentioned is the 82nd St exit is only accessible via NB I-465. Traffic from EB 465 cannot access 82nd street for now, as the merge between the 2 I-465 exits for now is past the 82nd St ramp.
By the way, the ramp itself to 82nd St is one of the narrowest exit ramps I've ever seen, if not the narrowest.
they need to take a lesson from north split and fly a drone and place the video on youtube!
I wonder if the nearby Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport is a reason behind not flying drones. If I recall they don't do too much drone stuff around the I-69 project on the southside due to Indianapolis International Airport.
In any case, I do have a picture of the interchange that I took from an airplane when I was flying back to Indy last month.

Wow, my house is in the second picture... IF you could zoom in on it!
The new concrete pavement on I-465 south of I-69 has been striped for 2 southbound lanes and 4 northbound lanes. I figured this would be the next MOT phase following completion of paving the approaches to the new westbound overpasses on I-465. Traffic entering from I-69 will remain on the southbound side. Contractors will have plenty of demo work during the cold months on the former I-69 travel lanes and I-465 inner loop.

The anticipated traffic shift of southbound I 69 onto the new ramps is expected to happen this weekend (weather permitting). The currently closed 82nd street ramps will also reopen at that time.

I've been a proponent of speed zone cameras in the past, where workers are present, and construction is active. But that work zone is signed for 40 MPH on a 55 MPH highway—even with no workers present or in areas without construction. It's as bad as the severely reduced speed limits on Interstate 69 south of Interstate 465, where no work has taken place for months. Thankfully, Indiana State Police don't seem to care about it as I've paced cops going 65-70 MPH through those work zones.

The program specifically says ticketing will only be active when workers are present.
40 MPH is excessively slow on a multi-lane freeway with barrier walls.

Southbound I 465 traffic will be shifted onto new pavement this weekend. Traffic coming from I 465 East will use 2 lanes carved out of the new northbound pavement. Traffic from 465 East will not have access to the 56th street exit. Traffic coming from I 69 south will use two lanes of new pavement on the far right side.
