So people don't join just to show their fictional plans without talking about real roads.
This thread should be moved to Fictional for the same reason; guests can see this thread right now.
So guests don't get scared off by our troll du jour.

That may be true but its possible that many guests reading other threads can see that Fictional Highways exists by reading random threads where someone says "this should be in Fictional Highways" if brought up in certain threads. I knew the fictional board existed before making an account here.

Came here to say basically the same thing. I wouldn't want P13 being a front end cap shelf item for a road community forum.
So the new guests don't end up deciding not to join after reading some threads by Poiponen and even MMM.
Perhaps there has to be a threshold for this: Require a certain number of posts to be about highways in the real world, whether they are open, under construction or proposed before a member can post an idea for one that may never exist (i.e. the global interstates made famous by FritzOwl).
Unfortunately the P13's of the world have no problem spamming the real forum boards with Metric based junk and longings for Sault Sainte John Madden.

Are you volunteering to be the moderator who manually reads every post by every new member, figures out which posts count and which ones don't, tallies them all up, and then grants visibility to those new members who meet the threshold?
