On this exit ramp, there was a unisign directing both routes and a hospital wayfaring sign in the middle: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Lr13xrEfchiW3Zew7. Today I was passing by it and saw the hospital sign was removed from the middle of the assembly. Any policy change or other reason for this?

Are they preparing for major construction that could temporarily alter the route one needs to take to the hospital?
Other possibilties: is it a hospital with the emergency capabilities to treat serious/life-threatening situations? If not maybe they don't want people going there who need more serious urgent care?
^^ It leads to a couple full-service hospitals that have full emergency services. I was checking the area and a new emergency-only medical center just opened on the following exit. It should not affect the other hospitals, but I now think the sign was taken down for this purpose.
People confusing it for some new funky county route?

No , it is likely due to some changed local conditions, as mentioned above. The crossroads there are major streets in the Green Bay area. There is never any confusion between route markers and anything else in Wisconsin.

If you go back and look at previous dates, the hospital sign wasn't there. My guess is that it had something to do with the WI-172 repaving project from 2023.

10-15 blocks or so to the left on the street in the distance is a major hospital. It is where injured players are usually sent during Packer home games.

Yes, I know. I used to live not far from there. If you back up, there is a "H" sign before the exit. I wonder if that got covered up at times during the project and the placed a temp one there.
There is another instance of the "H" being in the center. I belive this was removed or at least covered up as the hospital (HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital) closed back in March.
