Last known update of I-169:https://www.tristatehomepage.com/news/local-news/pennyrile-parkway-conversion-to-i-169-underway/
In other words, it might awhile before 169 signs replace the Pennyrile Parkway signs. Wikipedia's Interstate 169 (Kentucky) page says upgrades to future 169 will be completed in November 2024. Would this be accurate?
At this point, considering my limited research, I'd probably believe it, although it could always take shorter or longer.
I-169 is now signed along it's routing at various spots.

There's been no official word on the new signage yet. That's unusual.
Are there still Pennyrile Parkway signs along the corridor? How extensive is the Interstate 169 signage? Google Maps has not been updated to include the Interstate 169 marker on the Pennyrile Parkway yet.

That looks like an AI-generated image to me. I haven't seen anything "in the field."

Yeah. The word interstate is super garbled. Can't imagine that's just from taking a moving pic.
Hopefully, that AI-generated image will soon become a reality (Interstate 169 actually being signposted).

It's real (and something I verified). There is some weird delamination going on with some of the signs.

The contractor needs to be blacklisted if that's the case.

Just an FYI, I changed that from an IMG to an URL link. Facebook doesn't like people hotlinking images with the IMG tag, and blocks them from autoloading. However, if you have them just as an URL link, you can open them in a new tab and it works.

IMO it wouldn't be a KYTC sign if it didn't have premature delamination (growing up in Ashland back in the 80's this was a huge problem). But yeah in this day and age it's a little ridiculous.

Yeah. The word interstate is super garbled. Can't imagine that's just from taking a moving pic.
If you're referring to the stretched look of the word, that's fairly common on I-265 around Louisville, especially on newer signs.

I'm more referring to the individual letters that are unreadable unless you know what the word is supposed to be.

I find the bigger issue with the large-scale guide signs that delaminate within years. Not just the background but the individual lettering or shields, making them all but unreadable at night. I see this a lot in West Virginia and to an extent, Kentucky.

It's even worse in South Carolina, but they're trying to fix them, especially if the signs face south or west. They had to replace a lot of signs on I-77 in Columbia, but there are other signs on I-95 and other roads that need addressing.
There's talk of trying to get the governor down to cut a ribbon/ceremonially unveil a sign to celebrate the posting of I-169.

Those are always exciting. :-D
