POCAHONTAS, Ark. (KAIT) - The Arkansas Department of Transportation wants the public's feedback on a proposed Pocahontas bypass.
ArDOT will host a location and design public hearing on Tuesday, July 23, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Pocahontas Community Center, 300 Geneva Dr.
During the open house, ArDOT and the Federal Highway Administration will present and discuss a new roadway connecting Highways 90 and 67 north of Pocahontas.
The preliminary design plans are available for public review and comment online and in person at the Randolph County Library, 111 W. Everett St. in Pocahontas, and at PocahontasBypass.TransportationPlanroom.com.

Has this bypass always been planned, or did the I-57 green light trigger it?
Will the connector have a state highway designation?
