Diamond Interchange for me, due to the ease of getting on and getting off the Interstate or Parkway.
Trumpets. With or without the toll booth
If traffic control is needed on the non-freeway, stop signs or a single signal get the job done. No 2 signals like a higher traffic diamond
Haven't we done this already? Without really digging into a search, I feel like this has been done at least once.

Stack Interchange of course like the I-105@I-110 Interchange in Los Angeles.
The Circle Interchange in Chicago.
When I'm out in rural areas, I have to admit I have a certain affinity for the classic diamond.
In urban areas, though, my preference is for the most complex spaghetti bowls imaginable. The interchange between I-5, CA-14 is one that comes to mind. Regular lanes, truck lanes, the Old Road, Foothill Boulevard, it's all a wonderful mess. The jumble around Newark airport comes to mind as well.

The thread referenced is nearly eight years old; last post nearly four years ago. I think repetition can be allowed at this point, especially if newer members since that time are participating. Have you never repeated yourself in conversations over an eight-year span?
I'm a strong proponent of only one thread regardless of timespan. However, if someone's favorite interchange and "favortive" interchange are different...

I prefer older threads resurrected when the topic is exactly the same.

Not only that, what new can be really said on this subject that hasn't been said eight years ago?
Still the SPUI. Too bad California is not keen on building those.
Parclo B-4 or DDI for surface street interchanges
4/5-level stack or Turbine for freeway-to-freeway interchanges

8 years? I'm happy if I don't repeat myself in 8 minutes.
I try to avoid necro-ing a old thread because I have been infracted/banned for doing so on other fourms.

Learn to adjust.
I'm nostalgic for the rotary interchanges that are so common in Massachusetts, of which I can't think of a single example in California. There are several along I-95 around Boston.

Stacks. Especially if there is a double deck component or they are asymmetrical. The more ramps and bridges and twisty bits the better. Left exits right exits, all of it.
Outside of cities and big junctions, I love our slip ramp to frontage road system here in Texas. I especially love braided ramps
Stacks. They are the Cadillac of interchanges: no weaving movements, high speeds possible on left turns, relatively small footprint, and they make for spectacular civic monuments.
I like SPUIs, but only where the main highway crosses over the intersecting road.
