Title: Should we have a Burlington, VT meet in 2025, 2026, or 2027?

This is something I've been pondering this week since the opening of part of the Champlain Parkway on Monday.  The last time there was a meet in Burlington was 2013, and in Vermont period it's been since 2015.  Between the Champlain Parkway project and interchange projects along I-89 at Exit 16 (the state's first DDI) and Exit 17 (conversion into a 5-ramp par-clo), I think there's enough to warrant another meet sometime in the next 3 years.  The question would be which year to have it...and there's a reason I'm asking that question, as it depends on whether attendees want to see construction or a completed project.

Here's a quick breakdown by year, based on the latest project timelines.  In terms of the Champlain Parkway, I'm referring to the segment along the abandoned alignment that was part of Val's 2013 meet, which will be reconstructed (and Pine St cut off) to directly connect the completed parkway segment to I-189.

2025 - All 3 projects under construction.

2026 - I-89 Exits 16 and 17 completed.  Champlain Parkway connection still under construction.

2027 - All 3 projects completed.

My guess, based on project timelines and such, is that a meet held in any such year would likely be later in the year, probably September/October timeframe.

Comments and suggestions always welcomed.

You could shoot for the year Autoroute 35 is completed in Quebec. The target seems to be sometime in 2026, probably toward the end of Quebec's construction season.

Ditto for the completion of A-85, which is something else that could lure me to New England.

Incidentally, I am really curious whether MTQ will sign A-35 to the border once the next section is finished.  Sure, there are still at-grades, but that hasn't stopped them before.

2026 though... seems like a long time to erect the steel beams that were finally delivered and pour a deck for the bridge that is presumably the one part of the project yet to be completed (given that it was supposed to be open last year were it not for the subcontractor issue).

I generally prefer seeing projects that are completed, so I voted for 2027.  Burlington is a city that I've only been to once in the past, and it's been many years.  However, I've been wanting to go back there, so I hope I can attend this meet whenever it happens!

I voted for more than one meet. Some like to see a project under construction and others like to see the finished project when it's either close to open or already open to traffic. So, why not accommodate both types of people? Unless there's an issue hosting, I see no reason not to hold more than one meet. I'd personally like to see stuff under construction, but there's a high likelihood that I'd attend both meets (assuming that wins).

I voted 2025 but in hindsight 2027 would be better, hoping Stephanie and I can make it since we will be back in central Pennsylvania. Also I am planning my own meet in April 2026
