John Kinsel Sr, one of the last remaining Navajo code talkers, has passed away. This leaves just two code talkers who are still alive. Rest in peace, hero.

What really bothers me is that they could not talk about the role they had played in the second World War, thus robbing them of needed recognition for decades. One good book is Code Talker: The First and Only Memoir by One of the Original Navajo Code Talkers of WWII (https://www.audible.com/pd/Code-Talker-Audiobook/0593163362) by Chester Nez who is one of the original code talkers. There is an appendix in that book that included the actual Navajo code words and the literall translation. For Dive Bomber, they used the word Gini which is translated literally, as a "Chicken Hawk".
