New Caltrans intersection project is the first of its kind in the Bay Area
QuoteCaltrans and the Solano Transportation Authority broke ground Friday on a unique highway improvement for the Bay Area: Its first "diverging diamond interchange." The $25 million project linking Highway 37 and Fairgrounds Drive in Vallejo will "significantly improve traffic flow and safety, while reducing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions," according to a news release from the STA.
