Not so much the design, but how it's placed.
The Hemsley Building in New York City is an unusual building because of where it's sitting. It is above Park Avenue between 45h and 46th Streets and is also above Grand Central Terminal. However it's most unusual feature is it's ground floor lobby to access the above floors is located in the middle of the street.
Yes, access from street is in the median of Park Avenue as it's lobby is between the two underpasses of both NB and SB Park Avenue while passing under the iconic building. Something of a unique characteristic for an office building. Pedestrians have to cross Park Avenue on 46th Street to enter from 46th, however access in 45th Street can be done without crossing Park due to a grade separation between both Park Avenue and 45th Streets.
Any unique buildings that have a strange feature not by design but location besides this?
I love the dystopian Mad Max style look of the Searles Valley Minerals facility in Trona, California. Hard to go wrong with company towns if you want that certain hellscape look.

I was quite impressed with the 70s-type futurism of this Banner Health (https://www.google.com/maps/@33.4646499,-112.0563873,3a,60y,130.62h,90.67t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s-fQ3jUWM7JyRvtsnxcqfcg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D-0.668244826644397%26panoid%3D-fQ3jUWM7JyRvtsnxcqfcg%26yaw%3D130.62138729917692!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTIwNC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) building in Phoenix
