I recently filmed a cluster of pedestrian signals hanging from wires in Dayton, Ohio, at the intersection and Linden and Huffman. It is at the southeast corner of the intersection.

There are also wire-mounted pedestrian signals along 5th Street, at the Hamilton (https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7595356,-84.1672802,3a,15y,89.99h,91.24t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1skIKABnp4R5m9LyGhN_0YhQ!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D-1.241654264227762%26panoid%3DkIKABnp4R5m9LyGhN_0YhQ%26yaw%3D89.98820402472471!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTEyNC4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) and Huffman (https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7596864,-84.166516,3a,15y,112.6h,92.57t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sZVFJMKccRdB9xx64A2npUg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D-2.574655963509059%26panoid%3DZVFJMKccRdB9xx64A2npUg%26yaw%3D112.60475889333647!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTEyNC4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) intersections in Dayton. Going down south to Kettering, there's another intersection featuring wire-mounted pedestrian signals. They are hanging above slip lane islands, and are in the form of 3-way clusters! This is at the intersection of Stroop and Wilmington (https://www.google.com/maps/@39.6889751,-84.1317664,3a,53.6y,231.11h,93.67t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sFgHsKfAdSZbs2XtBI7Z0tA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D-3.6675988950038345%26panoid%3DFgHsKfAdSZbs2XtBI7Z0tA%26yaw%3D231.1069516554261!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTEyNC4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D). It seems that this is done when there is not enough space on the ground to put a pole for the pedestrian signals, or the pole is too far away from the corner of an intersection.
Are there any other places y'all are aware of that have (or have once had) wire-mounted pedestrian signals?
Nashville, TN, has and had a few around if you know where to look. Think somewhere in/near Atlanta, GA, once did as well?
Those are quite interesting, as I've never seen any such signals up close.
Last one that I know of in Seattle: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Z3e5uh1XMj73cwG79
Past ones in Seattle:

I know there are a number of these in Connecticut.
