In the Delaware Valley it seems that Pike is abbreviated " Pk" like Park is abbreviated on road guides.
I've not only seen it here in Lawnside, NJ, but in Delaware along US 202 and parts of US 30 in PA and US 13 in Ridley Park, PA.
It's kind of confusing, but if we remember that both Doctor and Drive use the same abbreviation as well as Louisiana and Los Angeles we can apply that to reason this out as a street wouldn't be named park except in Newark, NJ. There a street is actually named " Lincoln Park."
For some reason I thought this was going to be about a new soda which resembled Dr. Pepper.

They wouldn't have that problem if they called it a turnpike (TP).
