There's been a lot about food dyes in the news lately, and a lot of it has to do with artificial dyes used in Froot Loops.
It's been noted that Froot Loops in America look different from Froot Loops in every other country, because those countries don't allow artificial dyes. But I am absolutely sure that the Froot Loops in America used to look like other countries' Froot Loops do now.
For example, there never used to be blue Froot Loops. When did blue Froot Loops first appear in America? It had to have been not that long ago, because I stopped eating cereal back when we still had the old kind of Froot Loops.

1996 apparently.
I remember buying those for my daughter at the time, and she would've been two in 1996.
