Title: Crazy (and Tragic) Cheers Connection
Post by: Henry on May 21, 2025, 10:25:31 PM
Back in 1993, the series finale of Cheers aired on NBC, and exactly 32 years after that, George Wendt (whose character on the show was always greeted with "Norm!" every time he entered the bar) passed away:

BTW, he's now reunited with Nicholas Colasanto (Coach) and Kirstie Alley (Rebecca) on the other side.

EDIT: Just realized it should go in Off-Topic. Mods, please move it there.

When I saw the news, I thought of St Peter and the angels all yelling out, "Norm!"

Morn, the resident barfly on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, was named such because it's an anagram of Norm.
