Ozzy Osbourne, the wailing Black Sabbath singer-turned-solo act who took the "Crazy Train" from a bleak childhood in working-class Birmingham, England, to heavy metal stardom, has died.
He was 76.
His family announced the rock legend's passing in a statement to the U.K. Press Association: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
The man had excellent taste in sportswear. (Yeah, it was for a video he filmed for the team.)

Absolute freaking legend. I don't even like metal and I have nothing but respect for Ozzy.
Mama, he's comin' home.
Going off the rails on the crazy train to heaven :-(
First Theo Huxtable and now this.

Not much point in burying Ozzy in a Gordon Gartrelle shirt, though.
I'm sure a lot of us thought Sharon would've gone first, but nonetheless, this is a huge blow to the rock world. RIP Ozzy
Here is my tribute to Ozzy Osbourne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMDFv5m18Pw.
And to think, he performed his last concert with Black Sabbath (and his last concert ever) only 17 days ago.
Not unlike David Bowie and his last album (which is, in my opinion, his finest).
