Title: East Africa Road Pics (Kenya, Tanzania, Somaliland, Ethiopia)
Post by: JayhawkCO on August 14, 2025, 01:30:41 PM
Tried to at least take some road-related pics when I was there. No countries used reassurance markers on any of the highways, but numbers were posted on junction signs in both Kenya and Tanzania.

Interesting how similar the signage in Tanzania is to Namibia, South Africa, and Lesotho.

Another fun thing I learned is that, in Tanzania, if you have a yellow license plate, you can basically drive as fast as you want. It's a private car. If you have a white license plate, the speed limit is 80kph since it's a commercial vehicle.
