RIP...

While I know not many here would care that he died (and even I didn't care for some of his political views), he was nonetheless one of the most influential voices in America today. Gone way too soon.
I'm surprised that it took this long, honestly. He's been touring colleges for a while now, and many students don't exactly... agree with his messages.
I'm not exactly a fan of his beliefs either, but nobody deserves that.

Never heard of this guy until today. Found out about this shooting when my wife sent me a zoomed in video on Instagram. Suffice to say it was a pretty brutal.

Trans people don't deserve to be harrassed for the fact they exist, and yet!

Pretty sure you know my political views overall, but still no one deserves to die for who they are or for their beliefs alone.

There are a good number of wars showing that this is not a popular stance among humans.

Boy howdy is this begging for one, but I will leave it open until someone inevitably steps in it.

Hence why I'm against all war and violence in general.

The famously violent college students of America...yeah no. Being an on-campus troll is not going to get most people shot, and the motive for today is not yet known.

From the up-close footage that is out there one could infer the shooter wasn't an amateur. Certainly, it appears it was someone who knew what they were doing with a rifle. The shot landed pretty much center mass in the neck for those who don't know.
Hate breeds hate.
"All who draw the sword shall die by the sword". Matthew 26:52
"Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all offenses."
Proverbs 10:12
Sorry if those phrases don't make for speaking tours and you own profit pulpit but maybe those are more important words to live by.

You're so outdated. Is it still
20th cent...
19th or 18th... Good old time?
I disagreed with most of his views, but this is still a husband and father and human being. RIP.
He stoked the fires that ultimately consumed him. At least his kids will inherit the money he earned by doing so.

come on. Let's stay above all this and condemn any form of murder. You won't find me supporting most of his views but still.

Of course I condemn murder. But he's a man who heavily contributed to an environment of political violence that resulted in the death of multiple people. It's simply ironic that he died similarly.
I do not approve of violence against anyone, even those who spread the messages of hate. Whoever did it to him, may God have mercy on their soul.
Even ignoring the morality of this, this just increases the political tension in this country, which will cause more trouble and could have a very bad domino effect.

I have empathy for his family. None for him, because he clearly didn't want it.
I'm honestly surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more frequently. Political based assassination attempts seemed like they were fairly common when I was younger. Could be because the Reagan assassination attempt was still somewhat modern news and JFK was in living memory for a generation older than me.
I'm quite surprised at the outpouring I've been seeing on my social media about him ever since this broke. I think more people have posted about Kirk's assassination than they did when Trump won the election or when he was almost assassinated himself.
Whether anyone likes it or not he did have a massive impact on Gen Z.
A little late to this, but condolences to him and of course his family. No one deserves to die like this, doesn't matter how much you hate his stance on things, this isn't good at all.

conservatives are mourning and more left wing people are using this as an opportunity to advocate for gun control.
I guess I've gone a long enough time living in just enough blissful ignorance to where I didn't even know who he was when people said he was shot.
