Is it just me or does it look like there was a ramp planned for 295S to 73E?
73 north? Yes, a ramp was planned. And built. http://www.historicaerials.com/?poi=13895
I guess the mall took presidence over the actual road?
Do you know what weaving is?
Yes i do.
Listen to Mr. NE2 (and your name should be NE4, you quackbaaed it up). In order to have a direct entrance from the mall, there wasn't enough merge room to also have the direct exit to NJ 73. The left turn from Willow Rd. to NJ 73 SB is already quite constrained and inefficient (requiring a left turn across incoming traffic just to sit in the queue), so without the direct access to I-295 SB that left turn would just be far over capacity. Therefore, the reverse direction 295 SB-73 NB movement was sacrificed. Bear in mind that traffic ought to be using the 38 WB exit anyway.

Yep, money talks, everything else walks.
