Cool photos! You can also get great photos from the New Jersey side from the old US 322 ferry landing.

I attempted to find the ferry landing but went too far, and by the time i found out how to turn around...i decided to make it a lost cause. Also by the time i got back to that area the lighting was off anyway. My phone may have a decent camera, but darkness is never a friend to digital cameras.

Best way to get there is to take 130 and turn off just before the 322 interchange toward the toll booth parking lot.  Go past it and you end up at 324.

They are making improvements to allow good shots at night.  I was able to get a really clear shot of the moon in the middle of the night with my brand new camera once I tweaked the exposure settings.
