Alternative 1 looks fine to me.  The we can unite Michigan & Ohio's I-475's.

Alt. 1 looks best to me ('KISS' at work), but I would also include a southern access from the I-75/M-59 interchange.

Yeah, but that starts getting into that nitpicky interstate standard crap I've ranted about before.  I'd definitely file US 23 under "close enough".
