I agree with most of the posters there, what these *censored* folks are thinking?

What a totally stupid idea.  The state has plans to fill the gaps to truly make this an Elgin-O'Hare expressway (or tollway).   With all the traffic on the Randall Rd corridor, they should be looking at ways to extend this to I-90, not eliminate capacity.

Good old New Urbanism rears its ugly head again, I see.

I mean, what better way to improve a roadway already suffering with stoplights and under capacity than to make it even more under capacity and turn it into a "boulevard".

But that's OK, I guess, because when the traffic gets so backed up that even the businesses who want this complain loudly, then the New Urbanists will be there with light rail and bicycle paths to save the day!!

Yeah...horrible idea. US 20 needs to be upgraded to a full freeway and widened to meet capacity needs; not reduced to an urban "boulevard". Totally bassackwards.
