Title: Diverging Diamond planned for MN 15 in St. Cloud
Post by: froggie on February 11, 2011, 11:02:48 PM
MnDOT is planning a new interchange (http://www.dot.state.mn.us/d3/hwy15ddi/) at MN 15 and 20th St N (webpage says it's Stearns CR 120...officially it's CSAH 134) in St. Cloud, for construction in the 2012-13 timeframe.  If it goes through, this will be Minnesota's first Diverging Diamond interchange.

Oddly, while MnDOT's map of Stearns county shows it as CSAH 134 (as does my version of MS MapPoint, for whatever that's worth) the online map at the Stearns County website shows it as CSAH 120. Similarly the pdf township maps at the county site.

Either way, I'm surprised the volume here would warrant something like a DDI. I guess I've never been through there during peak hour.
