Title: Music Videos with desert highway theme
Post by: Brian556 on February 13, 2011, 09:04:05 PM
I've noticed that there are alot of music videos with a desert highway theme. Here are the one's that I can think of..
"Give Me All Your Lovin'" - ZZ Top
"Take My Breath Away" - Jessica Simpson
"Wanted" - Jessie James (a girl, not the outlaw)

What other ones can y'all think of?

"Broken Wings" by Mr. Mister comes to mind. Also, R. Kelly/Ronald Isley's "Down Low" video was partly in a desert.

Madonna's "Don't Tell Me"  has parts of it shot in a desert.
Kind of a stretch but Tom Cochrane's "Life Is A Highway" is shot in the grass prairies of Alberta.
Parts of Sheryl Crow's "Leaving Las Vegas" is in the Mojave while she is hitch hiking.
Sting's "Desert Rose" is also shot outside of Vegas.

I wanted to post here a few days ago, but for the life of me I couldn't think of the name of the song I wanted to mention:  Metallica's I Disappear.  It features some beautiful desert shots.

I have a nephew who was just over 2 years old at the time this song was a hit (y2k).  He was seated next to me in the back seat of the car as we were travelling to the Gulf Coast one day.  This song came on, and the kid was familiar with it because both his dad and I liked it a lot.  During the intro, I heard little noises coming from him.  I leaned over and heard what he was singing:  "Boom, boom, ow; boom, boom, ow; boom, boom, ow".  Ever since then, that's the way I sing it!
