The two bridges were demolished in about 10 hours beginning Friday. I-10 was reopened by Saturday morning.

The Marsh Station Interchange, which was completed in December, replaces one of the demolished bridges. By the end of the year, a new bridge is expected to replace the other demolished structure, the Mescal/J-Six Bridge, which recently was the site of a fire when two semitrucks collided.
