Title: US 41 Oshkosh and Green Bay 'after' videos
Post by: mgk920 on April 28, 2011, 03:59:17 PM
WisDOT just posted several drive-through 'after' video clips, both on the freeways and on the adjacent surface streets, of the US 41 construction-geek zones in the Oshkosh and Green Bay, WI areas, especially around the WI 29 interchange.  Note the MUTCD-compliant overhead BGSs.

Enjoy!

Nice! US 41 should be pretty snazzy when they finish the project... but a pain in the butt until then!

I wonder how well all of those huge roundabouts will work when they compete them. I've heard that WisDOT has been having some safety problems with a couple multi-lane roundabouts down in New Berlin.

Well, the multi-laners in Appleton and Neenah seem to be functioning very well, with their only main safety problems being related to the learning curve of how to use them.

i love the roundabouts, go through at least 2 every day, cuts travel time drasticaly, 1 thing im woried about though, is that they look and function great now, but what will they b like in 20-30 years? will they be maintained better than the city maintains the rest of its roads?
