Needed as this area backs up at rush hour and it's also growing. Now will MODOT, KC, Clay County and Liberty address MO-152 from I-435 to MO-291. That road is a nightmare with lights and traffic jams most times of the day.

I went through there earlier today. 96th St has the bridge in place, see picture. Just the ramps need building.
There doesn't seem to be anything happening at 108th St.

I was by there 2 weeks ago: looked to me like 108th had some minor dirt work being done off to the sides... maybe the beginnings of utility work?
I found it odd that heading south on the divided highway from Smithville, that the speed limit is 40 MPH.

On our annual trip up north last week, we stopped at a restaurant located at the junction of 152 and I35. It took 4 lights before we could turn left to go north on 35 at 2:30 in the afternoon.
Also was wondering why 35 hasn't been widened from 435 north to the US69 exit.

It's a little bit more than minor dirt work now. I was through there a couple of days ago. It appears 108th Street is being 4-laned east of 169 highway to North Oak where the street currently ends. Dirt is also being moved to take 108th to the east of North Oak, where the existing ROW had been idle for several years.
What is sad is that less than ten years ago this area was upgraded. MODOT, Liberty and Clay County are going to rework MO-291 and build the Flintlock flyover so things might improve a bit. Problem is Liberty went full tilt with Commercial development in the Triangle (I-35, MO-152 and MO-291 without updating any roads for the added traffic flow.

Can you provide more detail on this? Thanks.

I don't see this helping very much as the 291 eastbound backup is mainly for people wanting to either continue east or go north.

The Flintlock flyover is also being built a bit on the cheap. Instead of four lanes they went with two. Liberty School district initially said they would kick in millions to make it four lanes (middle school and elementary schools are right off the road/ west of I-35 is KC but Liberty school district so for cops and fireman to maintain a KC addy but get the good schools of Liberty they live in that area by the thousands). The ideal is to take some pain off MO-152 but as you said it won't do much. Also Liberty approved the new Ford stamping plant off the Liberty Parkway which will add to traffic at US-69 (already a mess with a 1950's left hand configuration). As people said I-35 should be six lanes from I-29/35 split to US-69 exit for Excelsior Springs.
