Title: History of I-70 in Ohio?
Post by: mobilene on June 23, 2011, 03:21:22 PM
My recent trip across Ohio on US 40/National Road has me curious about the history of I-70's construction across Ohio.  All I've been able to find out is what Wikipedia knows.  Does anybody here know the order in which sections were built, and about when they were completed?  Thanks!  jim

Try the historic ODOT maps: http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/TransSysDev/Innovation/prod_services/Pages/TransportMap.aspx

The first section of I-70 built was near Springfield, 1958(?). The last section of I-70 built was between Wilson Rd and Oh 315/I-71 in 1976.
