I just heard that the Southfield Freeway has finally reopened.

I think it's still closed.
No, it's quite open. The link MDOTFanFB posted has a video that shows traffic on it.
That help explains why the northern portion of the freeway appeared resigned with all Clearview (not that the southern half has any less Clearview), with bridges repainted and adorned with some kind of plant mural.

There were still construction barrels along both sides of the freeway through to Exit 11 (Interstate 96) when we drove it early last month however.
