if such a number existed, would we use it as a speed limit? if so, how many lanes?
Why can you have fractions between integers, but there are no interstates with fractions in their number?

there's interstate 2.38
I think the night speed limit should be the same as the number of lanes

Because there are no integers between 2 and 3, I hereby introduce a new character:

Please use that from now on whenever you need a number between 2 and 3.
no no, that goes between 3 and 4.

it's all right; it does that from time to time.
Well, there goes the (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm7.static.flickr.com%2F6165%2F6268065808_110b35d421_t.jpg&hash=1891143ac46ae21f049139c6d905b0bc8f5ce699) minutes of my life creating that character.
But, if you are driving a Gran Neutrino faster than the previously known speed limit, could you possibly observe it between 2 and 3, at night?

There is. It's 1 (base e).
It depends on what the meaning of the words 'integer', 'two', and 'three' are.
In all seriousness, we've defined 3 to be the next integer after 2. Had we defined another one between 2 and 3 (and no others), we'd have 2+2=3 and there would be three lights.

negative numbers aren't integers? then what are signed integers? :-D :ded:
Quotewhy are there no integers between 2 and 3?
Because then the speed of light would be like way, way faster than it is now. Not to mention the price of coffee would be through the roof! And we wouldn't be able to drive anymore cuz all the highways would be in the wrong place.

If someone asks a penny for your thoughts and you give them your 2 cents. Where does the extra penny come from?
The bellboy stole it.
The Federal Reserve coined it out of thin air. (See, money does come from nothing) :-P
With two more cents you could have three!
