Title: 2035 Long Range Plan for the Omaha metro area
Post by: Revive 755 on November 30, 2011, 10:35:43 PM
In the 2035 plan, there is a new proposed freeway on between the I-680/ County Road interchange in Iowa and the Storz Expressway:

Wow that "beltway" would be highly ambitious.  Are they really expecting Omaha to sprawl that much?

They've also got a proposed freeway connection between the south end of the US 75 freeway and the northern I-29/US 34 junction in Iowa; something I too have thought of.

They should add a project to elevate I-680 out of the floodplain of the Missouri River.  This past summer was a clear indication they need to do that.

^ NDOR's website shows the connection (to apparently be signed as part of US 34) being built with two at grade intersections
