Title: Mill Creek bridge, Fort Scott, Kansas
Post by: apeman33 on February 14, 2012, 05:29:14 PM
I was tipped this morning by David (US 71) about the Mill Creek bridge north of Fort Scott being closed. I confirmed it with one of the reporters and then went and took some pictures.

The road surface doesn't seem to be an issue but there's major damage to the structure.

And the worst spot:

I was there 2 years ago and don't remember it being in such poor condition. Hopefully someone in the area will campaign to rescue it.   :-(
