Title: South Carolina US 15A
Post by: agentsteel53 on February 20, 2012, 01:12:46 PM
I just got an old embossed route marker that is South Carolina US 521 but it is clearly recycled from a "15A" shield.

anyone know which years US 15A was in existence?  Would be neat to try to date this sign.

Do you think it's your type? Or are you its type?  :spin:

With the 521 and 15A, I think he has a one-sign "multiplex" on his mind.

http://www.us-highways.com/altus.htm says 1935-57, but http://www.angelfire.com/sc3/scroads/us15.html has some differing details.

Did it put up a shield? Was the writing on the wall?
