Title: Speed limit increase on ITR
Post by: MrDisco99 on March 07, 2012, 01:35:19 PM
Surprised I haven't seen this posted.

Looks like it's been about a month.  What are the transitions like?  Does the Skyway go from 45 up to 70 before the toll, or does the new limit start after?  What's enforcement been like?

Now if IDiOT gets their heads out of their asses and removes the 55 bubble around Chicago...

Wow - that might pull some traffic onto the Skyway from the Borman. Not that traffic on the Borman pays much attention to the posted 55mph limit.

I doubtt it will pull alot of traffic off the Borman the average speed is between 65-70 MPH on any given day. Since the reconstruction and the widening have been completed the average speed has increased along the stretch between exit 16 to the state line.

I think it would be more effective if the Skyway toll was $2.00 instead of $3.50 and the Skyway wasn't posted at 45 the whole way.
