Post by: Stephane Dumas on March 20, 2012, 11:21:51 AM
I spotted those interesting videos of the Old South Shore railway and Detroit passengers trains of the 1960s and 1970s

If I'm going to be watching old cartoons on Youtube, there are far more racist and banned ones I could be watching. That's what the Internet is for - subverting what media tells you you're allowed to see. Still looking for the unedited Simpsons WTC episode.

does there actually exist a South Park one where they show Muhammad?  I remember on the broadcast they failed to show it and for a while I thought it was just a joke that went so many layers of metasyntactic that it ended up falling head-scratchingly flat.  nope, turns out it was network censorship!

There was episode 200 and 201 as well as the "Superbest Friends" episode.

Yup. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Best_Friends)
But this episode is no longer aired and cannot be streamed. It is available on DVD only.

A later episode contained allusion to Mohammad being present rather than directly showing his image, and another contained him in a bear suit. And then there was the whole "201" business where the episode was censored by Comedy Central.
