Title: Northern State Parkway
Post by: SignBridge on March 27, 2012, 09:45:45 PM
Anybody noticed the Ramp-Metering Signals in Nassau County are going back in operation after being dark for several years? I had written to NYSDOT a while back asking why they were not working. They told me the old original comuter software needed replacement and they were waiting for new software. They seem to be re-activating the signals gradually from west to east. A month ago they were operating at New Hyde Park Rd. (Exit-26)and today they were active at Post Ave. (Exit-32)

Good to to see DOT finally taking care of business after letting that system fall into disuse, after having spent big taxpayer dollars to build it in the first place.

This sign will have meaning again!
