Title: Ghost Ramp Question Cincy
Post by: ShawnP on April 11, 2012, 09:09:16 PM
Coming out of GABP going on to the Brent Spence. There appears to be a ghost ramp on the right hand side. Anyone know where this ramp was headed?

Hey Shawn, that is for a future WB I-71/US 50 to NB I-75 ramp. I haven't examined the Brent Spence (supplemental) Bridge project and the realignment of I-75 north of the Ohio River to the Western Hills viaduct, but that ramp stub may or may not be used in the future.

Speaking of ghost ramps, what was underway constructionwise at the unbuilt Colerain Expressway stub:

Right down from my house Alex!

The interchange is being rebuilt to accommodate nearly full movements, and the stubs are being removed.

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but what is/was the reasoning for the odd ramp from US-22/SR-3/Montgomery Road to I-71 South near Victory Parkway?

An interchange was once planned for Victory Parkway (http://goo.gl/maps/7HY9h), which explains the other subtle hints of the interchange (widened ROW, pavement tapers, etc.). An interchange is now proposed for MLK just to the south, though.
