Title: Old Signs in Hampton Roads
Post by: HighwayMaster on April 13, 2012, 09:03:26 PM
Is this sign still up?

There is no Street View there, so I can't tell. I doubt that it still is up.

I could tell you in a few weeks when I'm back down there for househunting leave.

Open season already? What's your bag limit? Do you have to throw back the new ones until they mature?

Looks familiar, but I don't recall those signs.

Was this taken around the Tidewater shopping center?

Somewhat near there.  It'd be on northbound Tidewater Drive.

Google Maps' bird's eye imagery suggests it's gone. There looks to be just a trailblazer there now.

Ahh, yes I recall now. Haven't gone that far south in a while. I think they are gone as there have been some changes. Will's post seem to confirm it. Don't know when I will be in the area next time (I have property on W Ocean view) but when I do, I'll make sure to drive by that street.

Was in the neighborhood this morning. Didn't get a photo, but the old sign is indeed gone, replaced by a trailblazer shield.
