AASHTO's annual photo contest is open to public for first time and includes $$$ to winners (http://facesoftransportation.org/). A lot of great photos are posted on this Forum. I can just imagine the creative ideas that would be exchanged over beers at a road meet (just please don't try to find a "face" in one of those North Dakota bottles)...

So they're looking for roadgeek meet photos and not our run-of-the-mill photos of signs and roads.

They don't seem to describe what they're looking for anywhere. (Presumably it's the people that deal with transportation.)
Their rules add nothing. Do I have to submit a model release if I'm the model?
Since when is a parental permission cutoff at 21?

The best description I could find from above link is as follows:
Quote
The theme of this year's competition is "Framing the Benefits of Transportation." Digital photographs will be accepted in three categories: "Building the Future," "On the Road," and "Taking a Ride." Each photo should include faces of people and represent the positive effects of transportation on individuals and/or communities. Examples might include innovation and creativity in the built environment; an inspiring journey taken on America's roads and byways; a new bridge that is making commuting times shorter; an interesting way to work, school, or simply running errands; or a repaving of a rural road that employed members of the community.
Looks like the only requirement is to have a face in the photo. If I had the time, I'd think about going to Missouri, find an I-49 shield turned away from the road, and do a self-portrait opening a bottle of champagne with the Future I-49 in the background.
