Title: 2012-14 Virginia Map is available
Post by: Mapmikey on April 23, 2012, 01:36:18 PM
The 2012-14 VDOT Map is now available.

Checking out the pdf sectioned-version at virginiadot.org I noticed that the US 58 bypass of Hillsville and the VA 41 extension are both properly shown as open.

VA 167 is still shown...

The three new Northern Virginia state routes are still shown as their secondary predecessors.

The Harrisonburg inset shows VA 280 explicitly.

one of the VA 42 shields west of VA 100 is erroneously shown as VA 89.

I'll check out the local rest areas to see if they're there yet; I'll try to get a few for any out-of-staters want one.

The North Gayton Road Extension is shown under construction.

MD-200 is shown as complete.

Got my copy today.

I also got the Virginia Byways map, since they stated it was free. I checked it along next to the state map.

I stopped at a rest area on I-85 on my way home from work today. They don't have the new maps yet.

I got my maps today. The Coalfields Expressway is spelled correctly (before it was "Coalfield"), and in the Downtown Norfolk inset, VA 337 ALT is labeled as VA 334 ALT (but the mainline is correct). Also, on the Scenic Roads map, there are VA 615 shields in Virginia Beach and a blank shield on VA 65.
