Driving along US 167 between Alexandria and Winnfield, I noticed that the grass is about four or five feet tall, and doesn't look like it will be mowed anytime soon. However, grass right across the parish line has been mowed... is there something I don't know about where the parish highway departments will mow instead of the state?
Also noticed along US 167, especially between Dry Prong and Bentley, small gravel polygonal shapes every tenth of a mile. Anyone got a clue what its for? I'm completely confused, and the DOTD avoids the question altogether. :hmmm:
Different offices/districts are responsible certain areas based on Parish or county boundries. That would explain this situation.
