Well, this song isn't exactly 80s-made, but it's inspired by the 80s.

Be well,

Bohemian Rhapsody.
Wait, was that the 80s?
^^ It was released five years before the 80s began -- it was released in 1975.
Be well,
Bryant
Oh, then how about Duran Duran - Rio?
^^
Be well,
Bryant
Duran Duran- Rio is an awesome some
I already said that!
A-ha. Take on Me. CLASSIC 80s.
Sorry Voyager i meant to say it was an awesome song.it was supposed to be an agreement ;-)
BigMatt
I like classic Freestyle. Debbie Deb, The Cover Girls, TKA, Stacy Q...
Oh I love the 80's too... Best decade, musicwise, although the 70's were also not bad.
The late 80's, early 90's is my favourite period musically. A lot of good artists were around then like Marley Marl and the various members of NWA. The modern stuff isn't a patch on these old classics.
Yeah you should have started a 90's thread.
THE 80s RULE!!! :pacman: :blue: :pink: :orange: :red:
"Angel in a Centerfold", anything by Roxette, the hair bands, "I Wanna Know What Love Is"
GOD I LOVE THE 80s.
Wow! I can't believe nobody poste this one yet, AND I'm surprised I didn't think of it. Epic, awesome song of the 80s......
Journey....Don't Stop Believing
And, to a lesser degree, Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer".
Paradise by the dashboard!
One thing of the 1980s music I like to wish for a resurgence is the power ballad. I spotted a clip showing some exterpts of power ballads

Video Killed the Radio Star-The Buggles, may've been released at the end of the '70's, but was a definitive song in the '80's (1st song on MTV). Just Can't Get Enough-Depeche Mode, Obsession-Animotion...admittedly some Michael Jackson...the list goes on :D
Pat Benetar!
Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
Both AWSOME
Heavy metal in general, but especially what I consider the "Golden Age of Metal"--from about 1978 to about 1993.
Here's a good web site for you fans of "hair metal"--www.houseofhaironline.com
At least some of my favorite 1980's songs:
Take the Long Way Home - Supertramp
Longer Than - Dan Fogelberg
99 - Toto
We Live For Love - Pat Benetar
Pilot of the Airwaves - Charlie Dore
Xanadu - Olivia Newton John
Sailing - Christopher Cross
The Tide is High - Blondie
Kiss On My List - Hall & Oats
Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes
Waiting For a Girl Like You - Foreigner
We Got the Beat - The Go Gos
Man Eater - Hall & Oats
Africa - Toto
Swingin' - John Anderson
I Don't Remember Loving You - John Conlee
Uptown Girl - Billy Joel
Sweet Dreams Are Made of This - Eurythmics
Flashdance (What a Feeling) - Irene Cara
Every Breath You Take - The Police
Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Curly Shuffle - Jump 'n' the Saddle Band
Drive - The Cars
We Are the World - USA for Africa
We Built This City - Starship
Take On Me - Aha
Lady in Red - Chris De Burgh
Looking For a New Love - Jody Watley
We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel :coffee:
I gotta say I'm more a fan of the 80's album tracks than only the hits... Most of the hits have become cheesy over time.
For instance, I like Toto's lesser known songs much better than their wellknown hits.
Did somebody say 80's...

I love the 80s! Too many good 80s song for me to list, but what I don't like is "Come on Eileen". But what I really like are the British pop bands, like Duran Duran, Tears For Fears and ABC. I also like the lesser-known songs and one-hit wonders.
