Two new state route designations have been recently reported to me (thanks to Earl Capps):
SC 460 - redesignation of what Google Streetview showed as TRUCK SC 160 which bypasses Fort Mill using Gold Hill Rd and Springfield Pkwy. Not sure why this can't just be SC 160 and create a Business designation through town.
SC 461 - assigned to Cantrell Blvd/McConnell Pkwy in Charleston. Some maps had shown this as SC 61 SPUR. The road goes back to the early 1980s as a connector between SC 61 and then-SC 31 (now I-526). The road was later extended out to Bees Ferry Rd. It had always been posted as TO I-526 or TO SC 61. BGSs on I-526 called it SC 61.
I do not have the 2012 SC Official map so I don't know if they appear on it or not...

Last time I was down that way, the BGSs indeed said TO SC 61 (SC 61 (Ashley River Road) runs parallel to (and east of) Cantrell Blvd/McConnell Pkwy (I think one name is designated by SCDOT and the other by either Charleston County or perhaps the City of Charleston)).
In my opinion, Cantrell Blvd/McConnell Pkwy should be SC 61 as far north as Bees Ferry Road - the MPO long range plan calls for it to be extended along its own right-of-way all the way north to Summerville. For now, SC 61 should then head east along Bees Ferry Road to Ashley River Road.
I just received the latest SCDOT Official map which is dated 1/1/11.
No SC 460 or SC 461.
But I noticed (for the first time, as this change appeared starting in 2006) that SC 73 has been decommissioned...

I can confirm SC 460 exists, here's a wikipedia page of it with a picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina_Highway_460 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina_Highway_460)
Signage was installed back on March, 2012; even the I-77 exit for Gold Hill Road has a stuck-on SC 460 on corner of signs. Hope this helps.

Saw the shields slapped on Exit 88 signs on I-77 northbound on June 1, 2012 and had wondered what that was about.
Remember, you can't trust signs in Charleston. If you all know how US 52 and US 78 are unsigned along Meeting and King Streets on the home stretch along with other information directing you to these via I-26.

I experienced this 2 weeks ago when I had a job interview down there and the friend I stayed with lives off of US 52 near Monchs Corner lol
Took a picture of the stuck-on SC 460 shield on the sign. Good thing too, they are in the process of replacing the sign.

I was able to snag a 2012 SC Official from the welcome center in Fair PLay yesterday on my way home from Arizona...
SC 460 and SC 461 are both on there along with new SC 128 and resurrected SC 281.
SC 461 was not posted from SC 61 at its south end when I was there in October.
Incidentally, signage for US 52 and US 78 south of Montague Ave took a beating during Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and they never did put back up nearly as many signs as were downed. But one can still follow US 52 northbound pretty well from US 52 Spur (never been signed back to mid-70s at least).
