Title: Ferry landings as public launches
Post by: mcdonaat on August 25, 2012, 12:06:45 AM
The Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury recently acquired the old ferry landing in St. Francisville, and plans on turning it into a public boat launch. Could this actually be used for old ferries that are being replaced? It's the perfect landing, and a little work could be put into the launch for an attractive way to access the Mississippi.

The former ferry landing in Wilsonville, Oregon, is now a public boat dock (south shore of the Willamette River) since the ferry was made obsolete by the Interstate 5 bridge.
