Sure it's not just a severe case of nimbyitis?
What the hell is this newswire? Did anyone write to these folks about the history & plight of Alanland? It would fit right in!
Seriously though...are they referring to poor road conditions & the efforts to fix it, urban sprawl, or something else I missed?
Since you seem to not be aware, The Onion is certainly written in the same mindset that the beginnings of Alanland were written in.

The Onion is America's Finest Newspaper. :pan: :sombrero:
The Onion has been quoted by the state press in both China and North Korea. Their glowing report on Kim Jong Un helped.

Actually, I think
The Onion is in the same mindset as anything *after* the beginnings of Alanland. I think the poor kid was quite serious with his original post.

I wasn't exactly counting the original post by Alan, more along the lines of my first post regarding the place.

Ah yes, then we're on the same page there. I do read the first pages of Alanland from time to time for a chuckle.

If anyone EVER says that there are no creative thinkers on this forum, they will be dead wrong, and need to be referred to the Alanland history thread!
