I have not found the thread here for these types, and the closest I found told me in red warning letters to start a new thread unless I am sure I want to continue the necro.
Anyway, I do find it interesting when old signs of yesterday are still in use. Many with raised lettering and made out hard medal instead of the painted on lettering of today. I know in the older days before reflective paint, white was the color for reflection and some still are around to this day like this one on US 1 south at the historic north end of US 301 in Baltimore.

Not sure if the letters are raised, but it does predate the interstate system and it is of old white face. The assembly is neat as well and most likely did have a US 301 shield on it many decades ago.
There are enough threads about old signs already.
