You can always make friends and play Uno.  It's an easy game, even for foreign tourists who don't speak more than a few words of English.

Interesting article, thanks for the link. I am jaded to most travel from having spent so many years seeing a good chunk of the world. One thing that never gets old to me is a Eurail pass, and 3 weeks to wander with it. Almost every train ride in Switzerland is beautiful, and worth taking, over and over again!
