I just picked up a 1928 guide sign which says "Crest Road/Scenic Drive/US Highway #101"

can anyone tell me where this road is?
it is in San Luis Obispo county or further south, because that is where the Auto Club of Southern California posted signs like it.
It makes me want to go back to the village video store and rent "The postman Always Rings Twice" I have this very vauge recollection the when they go to kill the old husband they drive past a sign that says: Rte 20, Scenic Route 101, Crest Road with a left arrow. I know this is crazy, but you never know.
It could be that Crest Road was a local road that took you to US 101. Implied TO etc.

certainly plausible. anyone know where there is a Crest Road
near US-101?
CA-20, by the way, is far too far north to be in ACSC jurisdiction.
This is indeed a sign from a "Crest Road" pointing TO US 101. Where it is, I'm not sure. The name most likely has changed or been added to.
There is a Crest Rd in the Del Mar area of San Diego. It's just east of Camino Del Mar (old US 101). Looking at the Google street view, it's definitely scenic but its residential.
