Quote"The public did not accept the intersection,"  said Public Works Director Gerald Cosgrove. "People did not like the idea of having to turn right to go left."

People are dumb.

So what is planned to replace the Michigan Left, the originally planned grade separation, or just a double left on Legacy?

If it is true that the Michigan Left design is having a lower crash rate than a more conventional intersection, isn't Plano opening itself to a lawsuit if they switch designs and there is a crash?

At least from Google Streetview, it appears the intersection could be signed better - I see indications for a U-turn and to the opposite direction of TX 289, but nothing for drivers turning around to access Legacy. EDIT: Was thinking it was a Michigan left with all left turns prohibited, not just the left turns on Legacy.

Obviously Texans are not as smart as Michiganders, Louisianans, or Utahans.  :pan:

I've been through that intersection hundreds of times. Never been confused by it.
